When you have a gift that you’ve kept and cherished for so many years of your life. A gift that has occupied a place in you heart ever its existence, waiting for that special someone to come across in your life so you can present it to her as a token of your love. Yet, you don’t see a face smiling back at you when you have finally waited for the chance. And she seemed to not even bother to accept.

I said something bad. But that something surely came directly out of my heart. I’ve never been a man good with my words. Maybe the way I presented the gift to her made her think it was just some regular junk that is useless to me and that it could be of some use if I were to pass it to her.

The silver on the gift has lost its shine over the years. Maybe I should get something that’s new and shiny. But throw away the old one that I’ve kept and cherished all these years?

Or maybe that gift is just meant for someone else?
